Sherry Smith, CPC
Sherry, of Henderson, Tennessee, has over
22 years in the medical field with positions
ranging from front desk receptionist to patient
triage. However, her passion quickly became
focused in the medical coding and billing.
After years of convincing from coworkers,
friends and family she finally obtained her
CPC September 2011. Since becoming
certified she has held positions ranging from coder, billing manager
and even practice management in interventional cardiology,
OB/GYN, Internal Medicine and Primary Care. Recently she
expanded her career by accepting a position at a residential
treatment center doing facility billing for behavioral health.
Sherry has held positions within local AAPC chapters and enjoys
networking with fellow colleagues. Her future goal is to obtain the
CPMA credential and become an auditor/consultant to help educate
peers to become better in their respective fields.
Tammy Thomas, COC, CPC, CMC, CGSC
Tammy Thomas was born in Montgomery Alabama. She has
studied and became a Certified Teachers Assistant and stayed in
the education field until her three children graduated. She then
became a Certified Medical Coder and this lit a fire. Coding became
Tammy’s passion and she loves Vascular Coding. As of 2017 she
has her COC, CPC, CMC and CGSC and ICD 10 Specialty in
CardioVascular. In her free time she camps, reads and enjoys
spending time with her family.
